The Importance of Annual Giving

Our donors and supporters make it possible for Eton Academy to continue to provide an individualized and hands-on education to our students with learning differences. The Annual Giving Campaign helps Eton maintain its very small class size and ensures that our students recognize the strengths that they possess which compensate for their learning challenges.

Student tuition payments cover only 90% of our annual operating budget. The remaining 10% is raised through Eton’s fundraising activities and strong annual giving participation is a determining factor when Eton is being considered for foundation and corporate funding.

Like all independent private schools, Eton Academy receives no public or government funding and relies completely on tuition payments and outside support. Annual Giving supports operating expenses that are not covered by student tuition payments such as financial aid, technology and building improvements.

Each year, the Annual Giving Campaign must raise an additional $2,250 per student just to meet our operating budget. Annual Giving gifts are tax deductible and are vital to the growth of Eton Academy. Alumni, parents, faculty, staff and friends may contribute to the Annual Giving Campaign through various giving vehicles including:

  • Outright Gifts
  • Major Gifts for scholarships, academic enhancement, or building preservation and renovation
  • Planned Gifts
  • Endowments
  • Corporate and Foundation Gifts

Our Annual Giving goal for the 2007-2008 academic year is $230,000 and with 100% parent participation and the support of other generous donors, we can achieve and even surpass this goal.
